After a voyage filled with pillaging and plundering, the Jaded Jewel – Arbor Lodge Mansion turned pirate ship – is docked in a cove near Port Royal. The ship is captained by the dreaded Redbeard. As the pirates head into town to celebrate their homecoming and spend their gold, a night of turmoil and trouble is sure to transpire. As the night quickly steers out of control, one guest meets a tragic demise. Is the culprit the profiteering pirate organizing a mutiny? Or, the sea mistress? The neighborhood socialites have touted the Hatter’s Ball as the bash of the year in the isolated town of Bloodworth Falls. Mayor Riley White has organized the event in the old Bloodwood Castle as a diversion from the scandals that have plagued the town in recent months. Of course, it’s no coincidence the ball is scheduled right before the upcoming mayoral election. The mayor posted the invite list online, and your adversaries have already sent in their RSVPs. You’re intrigued and have decided you cannot miss an opportune moment to seek revenge on those who have crossed you in the past. Now, you are on a hunt for the perfect hat.

In celebration of International Tabletop Game Day (June 3), Arbor Lodge will host fun and games for the whole family. Various historic games will be set up throughout the mansion for you to enjoy. Learn the history behind such games as Mansion of Happiness, Checkers, Dominos, Fox and Geese, Tic-Tac-Toe, Tiddlywinks, and many more. The Morton’s valued family time together, and their journals include accounts of games and entertainment they enjoyed. Sitting down with family members and friends to enjoy a board game or cards is proven to help build relationships and memories.

Bird Day was designed as a special celebration for school children to learn more about birds as part of their nature study. While serving as U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, J. Sterling Morton helped promote the two observances together.
