July 2, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us on Saturday, July 2nd from 10:00 AM – Noon for a 4th of July Party and History Event at the Morton-James Public Library!
We will have 4th of July crafts in the Kimmel Gallery. Families can also tour the Library to visit seven history stations each representing an era of American history from the American Girl book series. Stations will include: Felicity (1774), Josefina (1824), Kirsten (1854), Addy (1864), Samantha (1904), Kit (1933), and Molly (1944)!
Community members at each station will visit with patrons about the era in history, sharing their expertise, talking about their experiences, or doing an activity.
Every child will also receive a gift bag with fun things to celebrate the 4th of July, perfect for a night out watching fireworks! All ages are welcome to attend, but most activities will be best for children over 6 years of age. This is event is free to attend, open to the public, with no registration! Call the Library at 402-873-5609 with any questions!
This event is funded by Morton-James Public Library’s Harry and Grace Moller Endowment Fund.
