The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts (KHN) is an esteemed residency program for visual and interdisciplinary artists, writers, and composers/musicians from across the country and worldwide. Since 2001, nearly 1,000 residency award recipients have come to live and work at KHN for two to eight-week stays. They are provided with uninterrupted time and space for work, reflection, and creative growth.
Uniquely housed in a residential prairie-style complex, KHN also hosts a public gallery that showcases the work of Nebraska and regional artists, and is home to the Kimmel Permanent Collection. Featuring six exhibitions per year, and special events such as Third Thursday Artist Talks, KHN Is a popular destination in Nebraska City. Open year-round weekdays.
