A small-town celebration of freedom the way George Washington intended. Complete with live music, food trucks, cornhole , and an hour-long fireworks extravaganza of, yes, extravagant proportions! If you are not from around here, we recommend getting a room for the weekend; you’re going to want to stay.

Description: 2024 details: Cool off with a dip in the Steinhart Aquatic Center! Slides, diving boards, zero entry, and a lazy river make this the best pool around! (*Opening time on 6/29 is TBD based on wrap up of NC Swim Invite held that morning. Closing early for firework show -- information about lounge chair rental during firework show coming soon!*)
