Want more information about the competition…

We will have two days of motocross racing and one morning of trials competition.  Trials, by the way, is riding a specialized kind of motorcycle through very tricky sections, over logs, etc…without putting your foot down!  Pretty simple rules…very difficult sport!

Briefly stated…motocross began in Europe in the 1950’s and it was simply racing motorcycles over a course of natural terrain.  Very pure!  Well, when it came to the United States in the 60’s, it wasn’t long before promoters and the like thought it would be cool to add in huge jumps…even double and triple jumps.  The motorcycles needed to compete on that type of track became very complex (and expensive).  AHRMA is throwing it back to the old days!  And the Three Hills track is loved by everyone who has ridden there!  We are very thankful for Bruce and Peg Kriefels.

Racing of the very old bikes will be Saturday.  Trials will be Sunday morning and the rest of the day will be “post vintage” racing.  Old technology…but the bikes aren’t quite as ‘vintage.’

We have competitors from ages 16-70!  Men and women.

It’s going to be a great event!
