It’s a delicious way to celebrate Arbor Day Weekend! Join us for a magical evening of Arbor Day-inspired dishes in the beautiful setting of the Woodland Grove. A four-course, family style menu paired with a wine or beverage, is being artfully crafted by our Timbers culinary team to delight your taste buds and pay homage to trees.

Nuts About Nuts

Crack open the world of nut growing during a special appearance by the Nebraska Nut Growers Association at the Tree Adventure. The group will provide insight into the tree grafting process, discuss how to grow tree nuts in Nebraska, and show off some of their crop. It’s a great learning opportunity for all ages!

Visiting Artist Jayson Fann

Arbor Day Farm is excited to announce interdisciplinary artist, educator, musician, and producer Jayson Fann from Big Sur, California will be at the Tree Adventure during the week of Arbor Day. On Tuesday, Jayson will begin building a playable drum from a tree that fell on the farm last year. Watch as he works throughout the week and learn about his artistic process and what it means to use natural materials to create art and music.

Jayson has created similar drums and more than fifty spirit nests across the U.S. His work in both music and sculpture has been featured in the numerous magazines and articles. His residencies and exhibitions are centered on creating interactive arts and cultural collaborations that foster environmental, intercultural literacy, value, dialogue, and awareness.

Arbor Day Farm Big 150 Prize Hunt

Arbor Day 2022 marks two big celebrations for Arbor Day Farm. It’s the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day and the 50th anniversary of the Arbor Day Foundation. So we’re celebrating big by giving away 150 prizes around the farm and Nebraska City. Visit during Arbor Day weekend, April 29-May 1 and look for envelopes containing prize hunt certificates hidden in the trees – both inside and outside. When you find one, go to the front desk at Lied Lodge to turn it in and redeem. Prizes include Arbor Day Farm wine, attraction tickets, t-shirts, meals at Timbers and Porter’s, and Lied Lodge overnight stays.

Come help us celebrate by exploring the farm, experiencing a variety of fun activities, and maybe even taking home a special prize.

 

Treetop Village at Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure

Opening Weekend – September 7–8

Three acres up in the trees, 11 treehouses, all connected with elevated bridges and walkways. The one-of-a-kind, fun-for-all-ages Treetop Village will spark imagination and joyful laughter in everyone.

Make your way from treehouse to treehouse without ever touching the ground. Bounce sky-high on the giant WonderNet (the first in North America) and race down a 50-foot slide. It’s fun for hours. Then round out your day with a stay at Lied Lodge.

Come help us celebrate the opening of this exciting new addition to the Tree Adventure! Weekend activities include:

  • The Pancake Man, Saturday 9 a.m.–10:30 a.m.
  • The String Beans music group, Saturday 10:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m.

  • Johnny Appleseed demonstration, Sunday 11 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Wine, Cheese, & A Walk Among the Trees is a relaxing wine & nature activity at Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure, offered on Saturday, May 14.

Start with a glass of Arbor Day Farm wine and snack on assorted cheeses; then head out to the wooded trails for a casual stroll-and-learn with one of Arbor Day Farm’s tree experts.

Cost is $19 per adult; $15 per child (age 12 and younger) and includes two tickets to the Tree Adventure; four wine tastes (cider for the kids); two souvenir wine glasses.
