Living History Weekend – All About Salt

Step back in time to see historic trades, talents, and other demonstrations come alive inside Arbor Lodge Mansion and out on the beautiful grounds of Nebraska City’s National Historic Landmark.

Join us October 22 and 23 and discover the amazing evolution of salt and how Morton Salt revolutionized the industry. Plus, learn about some “salty superstitions” that have been passed down through the years.

Celebrating Women at Arbor Lodge

Join us during the month of May as we celebrate women and mothers everywhere and give a special nod to the Women of Arbor Lodge. This temporary exhibit includes historic photographs and biographies of the Morton women, as well as needlework linens and other handmade items that showcase the skills women used to beautify their homes over the years.

The Morton Family Goes to the Fair – Arbor Lodge

“Come to the Fair” at Arbor Lodge Mansion, and get a glimpse of the Morton family’s involvement in the organization of Nebraska’s territorial, county, and state fairs.
