Hayrack Ride, Storytelling & S’mores

Weekends this fall through Lied Lodge & Conference Center – the entire family will enjoy a mash-up of Arbor Day Farm’s most beloved fall season activities: hayrack rides, storytelling & s’mores!

On Friday and Saturday evenings at 6:30 p.m., Sept. 27 thru Nov. 9, climb aboard a hayrack at the Lied Lodge lobby. Travel to Arbor Day Farm’s Morton Oak tree, where you’ll sip hot chocolate and apple cider, enjoy a hot dog, make s’mores, and listen to tales from a storyteller, before returning to Lied Lodge.

Tickets are $15.00+ tax for adults; $10+ tax for children, age 4-12. Children 3 and under are free but must sit on parent’s lap. Seating is limited on the hayrack, and this activity often sells out. To reserve your seat, please call Lied Lodge at 402-873-8733.

It’s a summertime tradition… Sunflowers in Bloom at Arbor Day Farm!

Come and see one of nature’s best shows. Bring your camera and grab a seat aboard the Discovery Ride for a memorable visit to Arbor Day Farm Tree Adventure. Discovery Rides are Monday through Friday at 1:00 p.m. and on weekends at 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. The bloom typically occurs in early- to mid-August and lasts about two weeks depending on weather. International Picnic Day at Arbor Day Farm

Celebrate International Picnic Day on the grounds of Arbor Day Farm. Inside the beautiful Arbor Lodge Mansion, learn about the history of picnics and view historic picnic photographs. Several yard games (including croquet, yard darts, checkers, and bocce ball) will be set up on the front lawn of Arbor Lodge for you to play.

 

Bring your own lunch to the Tree Adventure and eat under our towering oak trees. Then enjoy a special treat from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at the fire pit and roast a “ladyfinger” biscuit with your choice of toppings. Take part in make-and-take kite making and outdoor games and activities from 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Sunset & S’mores at Arbor Day Farm

Climb aboard for a guided, Sunset Discovery Ride as you journey through the orchards and vineyards at Arbor Day Farm. Following the ride, gather ’round for a twilight bonfire complete with make-your-own s’mores.

The Discovery Ride departs at 8:00 p.m. with the bonfire and s’mores following the ride. Cost includes your Tree Adventure admission, your ticket for the Discovery Ride, the bonfire, make-your-own s’mores, and bottled water.

At the Tree Adventure:

Nothing says fall quite like Oktoberfest, and you’re invited to share in the fun at Arbor Day Farm’s Historic Barns on Sunday, October 7, from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
