Antique Cider Press Demonstration

If you ventured into a general store back in the late 1800s, it would have been common to find a cider press for sale. Many homesteads like Arbor Day Farm had apple trees, and the press allowed them to turn over-ripened and less-than-perfect fruit into a delicious drink. Come see an antique cider press up close and watch as we turn fresh apples into that wonderful golden liquid.

Demonstrations take place at the Carriage House behind Arbor Lodge Mansion Saturday, Sept 24, and Sunday, Sept 25 at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. There is no cost for this activity.
