“Risk and Repair” Art Exhibit

Risk and Repair brings together the sculptures and paintings of two artists, Amanda Smith and Aaron Badham.

Amanda Smith  is a painter living in Lincoln, NE. Smith earned her MFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and her BA from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. She has exhibited and lectured nationally and internationally, with exhibitions in Chicago, Kansas City, the Twin Cities, Dallas, and Miami and Seattle metros. She was a visiting artist at Temple University, Rome, Italy, and was awarded a residency at Art 342 in Fort Collins, CO. Smith has taught at Indiana University and Minnesota State University, Mankato, and is currently Visiting Assistant Professor and Gallery Director at Doane College in NE. She was an artist in residence at the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts in 2014.

Aaron Badham  is a sculptor living in Hastings, NE. He earned his MFA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and his BA also from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA. Badham was awarded the prestigious International Sculpture Outstanding Student Achievement in Contemporary Sculpture Award in June 2014. His work was featured in the October 2014 issue of Sculpture magazine. He recently had a solo exhibition at Hastings College, where is also an adjunct professor, entitled A Spirit of Inquiry.
